The Nigerian Baptist Convention 2015 Annual Session holds in Imo Conference. This decision was made at the 2014 annual convention session in Ibadan. The hosting of the session will be by Imo and Emmanuel conferences.
The president of Imo Baptist Conference is Rev. C. A. Nwosu (07037919943) while that of Emmanuel conference is Rev. Anyanwu.
The City Of Obinze
Obinze is one of the oldest and largest Baptist presence in Imo and Emmanuel Baptist conferences; located in Owerri West L.G.A of Imo state. The town is situated along Owerri-Porthacourt Road and it hosts a Baptist College of Theology, First Baptist Church Obinze, Great Commission and Victory Baptist Churches.
Transportation To Obinze
The town is a 25 minutes drive from the Imo airport, one hour drive to and from the Porthacourt International airport and one hour drive to and from the Asaba international airport.
Convention Hosting Central Working CommitteeThe chairman of the 2015 convention hosting central working committee is Hon. Uche Onyeagocha (08033107283) and the secretary is Rev. L. C. Okoroafor (08035153135). It is also worthy to note that the chairman of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. B. U. Enyioha is from Imo state.
Convention Ground (Venue)
The convention venue is located in the old Baptist Teachers Training College now Baptist Model Secondary School, Obinze, Owerri, Imo state.
Inauguration Of CWO
On Tuesday 26th of August 2014, the convention president Rev. Dr. Samson Supo Ayokunle will be inaugurating the central working committee and other sub committees for the hosting of the 2015 annual session of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. This event will take place at First Baptist Church, 120 Wetheral Road, Owerri and the time is 11am. The host pastor is Rev. Dr. P. N. DomNwachukwu. Every Baptist and non-Baptist is invited to this historic event that will attract top dignitaries from all works of life.
